Join us (on zoom or in person) for a special presentation by Dr. Laura Martin on The Use of Vetiver Grass to Improve Sustainable Agriculture in the Virgin Islands.

Vetiver grass is a non-invasive tropical grass that is used worldwide for the management of erosion, water conservation, slope stabilization, and land and water remediation.

In addition to sharing on the many benefits of Vetiver grass, Dr. Laura Martin will be presenting a program available to Virgin Islands farmers which includes on-farm workshops to learn how to maintain and propagate the grass and even free plants to use on local farms. This incredible program is supported through a grant from Southern SARE, a USVI Climate Change mini-grant, and the Rotary Club.
