Volunteer Opportunity!
Have you ever wondered what kinds of tiny critters live in our island's intermittent streams, locally known as guts, and more curiously, how do they survive when all the water dries up? Now is your chance to find out!
Join graduate student Jacob Laurain on Tuesday December 2nd, for a hands-on survey of native freshwater fauna in Dorothea Gut. Volunteers will help to count and categorize fish, crabs, shrimp and other species to help build our understanding of these elusive and forgotten creatures.
For more information and to sign up please email Jacob Laurain (jlaurai@clemson.edu) with the subject "St. Thomas Gut Volunteer".
