Saturday, October 22, 2016, Rotary Club of St. Thomas East will commemorate their 30th anniversary - and their 30 years of service to the community, region, and world - with a lasting legacy, by establishing a permanent disaster fund, which will enable Rotary East to respond more significantly and readily to local, regional, and global disasters in the future.  This initiative will be launched at Saturday's Rotary BVI/USVI Friendship Day at Bolongo Bay Beach, and the fund will be managed by the Club Officers and Board of Directors.

At the Rotary East Disaster Fund Tent Saturday, pledges and donations will be received for this permanent disaster fund.  Commemorative wine glasses will be gifted to donors who contribute $100 or more to the fund.  Fundraising will continue through the rest of this anniversary year, and there will a special fundraising drive for this fund every year in the future.  OUr

... 50% of funds collected before the end of 2016 will be earmarked for relief for our sisters and brothers in Haiti, working through directives and programs of the Rotary District 7020 Disaster Team (with every one of these dollars being used for relief supplies).
... 50% will lay the foundation for building the permanent fund.

Thank you all in advance for your support for "The Little Club That Does!" ... and help us to be the "Little Club That Will Keep on Serving Humanity" ... indeed serving human beings in their greatest need.

Yours, in the awesome spirit of Rotary ... Corinne
